“How to be an artist and not go crazy” – a literary evening with Natalia Zakolska and Tomasz Kot at MCC Mazurkas Conference Centre & Hotel****
On September 18, 2025, another meeting in the "Mazurkas After Hours" series took place at the Mazurkas Hotel****, this time with the theme "The Art of Being in the World of Artists." The evening was hosted by Dagmara Chmielewska, and special guests included actor Tomasz Kot and mental trainer Natalia Zakolska, author of the book "A Man's Point of View. How to Be an Artist and Not Go Crazy?", which formed the basis of the discussion.
Natalia Zakolska shared the behind-the-scenes story of her book and coaching work, emphasizing the importance of consciously managing emotions. Tomasz Kot shared insights into his work, particularly his preparations for the sets of "Gods" and "Sentenced to Blues." Discussions about the challenges and joys of artistic life, how to cope with pressure and expectations, and finding balance between being an artist and everyday life were interspersed with musical highlights performed by the three vocalists from the band Singin' Birds.
After the official portion, attendees had time for networking and a truly autumnal feast prepared especially for the occasion by Michał and Jakub Budnik, the chefs of MCC Mazurkas & Mazurkas Catering 360°. The buffets and live cooking stations featured dishes made from the bounty of the forest – mushrooms and game. Guests could sample dishes such as freshly grilled venison loin in a juniper berry marinade, aromatic risotto with wild mushrooms and Parmesan, and venison tenderloin and smoked plum skewers with rosemary sauce.
The "Mazurkas After Hours" meeting once again proved to be a space for inspiring conversations, unforgettable artistic and culinary experiences, and an opportunity to build relationships in a unique atmosphere. "The previous "Mazurkas After Hours" meeting demonstrated how versatile our green space can be – perfect for summer conferences, team-building events, or outdoor presentations. With the arrival of autumn, we invited guests indoors to see how effectively our spaces support autumn events.
The largest room – Zeus – was presented this time with a modified arrangement: two-thirds of the space was dedicated to the main event, while the remaining space was used for another meeting simultaneously. At the same time, several smaller hotel rooms were arranged for dance training, demonstrating the facility's full flexibility and the ability to host many, completely different activities simultaneously. These solutions not only confirm the multifunctionality and diversity of our rooms – from intimate workshops, through concerts and special events, to large conferences – but also demonstrate that thanks to the comprehensive coordination of our experienced team, every element of the event is coherently planned and perfectly executed," comments Magdalena Szymajda, Sales Manager at MCC Mazurkas Conference Centre & Hotel and Catering at Mazurkas 360°.
